Have you ever heard that a car able to drive itself and race between other cars without human interference ? maybe it sounds strange, but before i continue this writing please take a look at video (link below) taken from AWS Deep Racer :

Many readers may be confuse, are you sure you didn’t dream ? No, i didn’t dream, in fact there is technology what make this happen called Reinforcement Learning.

What is Reinforcement Learning : Reinforcement learning is part of Artificial intelligent that the Agent (in this case is car) learns from the Environment (in this case is race / track or street), based on reward and punishment, like a dog will get reward(food) when obeys the master’s order and gets punishment when screws up the master’s belonging or disobey master’s order. From this the agent will learn what Action should agent’s do to get more reward as higher as possible and try to avoid punishment.

Conclusion

In Reinforcement learning agent learn from environment what agent should do to get reward more and more. Therefore the agent able to race/self driving because the agent had learned from the environment.
